Great River Energy (GRE): located in Maple Grove, MN. Great River Energy is a not-for-profit generation and transmission electric (G&T) cooperative owned by 28 member cooperatives. The member cooperatives of Great River Energy distribute electricity to approximately 700,000 homes, businesses, and farms. It is the second largest electric power supplier in Minnesota and one of the largest G&T cooperatives in the country.
Great River Energy has power plants that generate more than 3,500 megawatts of electricity. Great River Energy’s renewable capacity is projected to grow from approximately 660 MW in 2020 to more than 1,760 MW by the end of 2023. Great River Energy carefully designs and maintains a portfolio of power generation facilities and transmission resources to deliver reliable and affordable wholesale electricity to the regional electricity market and their member-owner cooperatives. CTC: Located in Brainerd, Baxter and Crosby, MN. As a technology services advisor, CTC partners with electric cooperatives, municipalities, and communities to bring in-demand services to homes and businesses. They assist with system infrastructure and help build state-of-the-art fiber and wireless networks. Arrowhead Cooperative has partnered with CTC since 2011.
